Head Bartender
A’Vucciria
Full-Time | 38–42 hours per week
We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Bartender to lead our bar team at A’Vucciria.
Inspired by one of Italy’s most iconic markets, Sicily’s La Vucciria—meaning “hubbub”—A’Vucciria is a lively, welcoming space where guests enjoy simple, flavourful food alongside excellent Italian wine, beer, and cocktails.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate hospitality professional with strong leadership skills and in-depth beverage knowledge. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is excited to shape a memorable and immersive drinking experience for our guests.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a natural leader who inspires and develops a high-performing team
- Bring the owners’ vision to life by delivering a unique and engaging guest experience
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages
- Understand guest preferences and tailor service to create memorable experiences
- Stay up to date with current trends and innovations in cocktails and beverages
- Confidently manage high-volume operations and busy service periods
- Drive team excellence through engaging, innovative, and structured training
- Share knowledge generously, supporting the development of junior team members
- Show excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Have a strong work ethic and a hands-on, proactive approach
- Be eager to continue learning and growing as part of a collaborative team
