Experienced Welder/Fabricator

Hours: Monday–Friday (Overtime available)

We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our busy steel fabrication workshop. Working as part of a skilled team, you will manufacture a wide range of structural and architectural steelwork from engineering drawings to a high standard.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Fabricating structural and general steelwork from technical drawings.
- MIG welding mild steel to a high standard.
- Cutting, drilling, grinding and assembling steel components.
- Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely.
- Inspecting finished work to ensure it meets quality standards.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Working efficiently to meet production deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator within a steel fabrication workshop.
- Strong MIG welding skills.
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Experience fabricating structural steel, staircases, balustrades, platforms, gates or bespoke steelwork.
- Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
Desirable
- TIG or MMA welding experience.
- Overhead crane or forklift licence.
- CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
