We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Sales Administrator to join our growing team in Shrewsbury. This is a key support role within the Sales Department — ideal for someone who enjoys detail, process and people in equal measure. You’ll work closely with our Sales Account Managers to keep the sales function running smoothly — ensuring booking forms, CRM updates and reports are always accurate and up to date.
This position is 20 hours per week, spread across 4-5 days in the office, and is suited to someone who thrives in a busy, phone-heavy environment and takes pride in being well-organised.
About the Role
As a Sales Administrator, you’ll be the backbone of the sales team — managing the day-to-day administration that supports the team’s commercial activity. From issuing booking forms to keeping the CRM and sales reports accurate, your work will ensure that deals move smoothly from proposal to completion.
You’ll liaise regularly with clients and colleagues, chasing in documentation, updating figures and assisting with renewal prompts. While this role doesn’t involve direct selling, you’ll play an essential part in the client experience — helping maintain high standards of service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Administration & Coordination
- Raise and issue booking forms on behalf of the Sales Account Managers.
- Track, chase and process unsigned booking forms, ensuring timely completion.
- Maintain and update weekly sales figures, pipeline reports and status summaries.
- Support the preparation of sales documents and proposals where required.
CRM & Data Management
- Keep the company CRM up to date with client activity, contact details, deal statuses and notes.
- Input and maintain accurate sales data to support reporting and forecasting.
- Work with the wider team to ensure consistency and accuracy across all client records.
- Pull exhibitor lists from relevant industry events and identify suitable contacts — including name, company and contact details — for the sales team to target.
- Research industry publications and identify prospective advertisers or partners, compiling contact information for the sales team to target.
Client Liaison & Communication
- Follow up on outstanding paperwork and confirmations by phone and email.
- Support the sales team in coordinating membership renewal prompts and follow-ups.
Reporting & Support
- Produce weekly and monthly sales summaries for team meetings and leadership updates.
- Provide administrative support during busy campaign periods, including event or publishing deadlines.
- Assist in refining sales administration processes for greater efficiency.
Experience & Skills:
- Experience in an administrative or coordination role.
- Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Confident communicator on the phone and in writing.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word and Outlook).
- Comfortable learning and using CRM systems (training provided).
- Friendly, approachable and professional manner.
- Takes pride in accuracy and supporting others to succeed.
We’re proud to be an Investors in People accredited organisation - recognising our commitment to supporting and developing our team.
