Project Coordinator
Location: Chesterfield, Derbyshire
Department: Projects / Operations
Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (40 Hours per Week)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum (Dependent on Experience)

Due to continued business growth, we are looking to recruit an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to join our Projects Team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys planning, organisation, problem solving and working with people in a fast-paced engineering environment. The role also offers genuine career progression into Project Management for the right individual.
The Role
Working closely alongside our Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating multiple crane installation projects from order through to successful completion.
You will help ensure projects remain organised, documentation is completed correctly, customers are kept informed and installation activities are planned efficiently.
No two projects are ever the same, making this an exciting and varied role where you'll become a key member of our growing business.
Main ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination
- Coordinate multiple live installation projects.
- Maintain project schedules and progress trackers.
- Monitor project milestones and delivery dates.
- Prepare weekly project updates.
- Assist with project planning meetings.
- Ensure projects remain on programme.
Customer Communication
- Liaise with customers throughout project delivery.
- Arrange site surveys.
- Schedule installation dates.
- Provide project updates and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Project Documentation
Prepare and issue documentation including:
- RAMS
- Lift Plans
- Site Information Packs
- Installation Documentation
- Load Testing Documentation
- Handover Documentation
- Operation & Maintenance Manuals
- LOLER Documentation
- Commissioning Records
Installation Planning
Coordinate and arrange:
- Installation Engineers
- Mobile Crane Hire
- MEWPs
- Plant Hire
- Test Weights
- Accommodation
- Transport
- Site Access Arrangements
Supplier Coordination
- Chase supplier delivery dates.
- Confirm manufacturing completion.
- Coordinate purchased equipment.
- Arrange transport logistics.
Internal Coordination
Work closely with our:
- Sales Team
- Design Engineers
- Workshop
- Installation Engineers
- Project Manager
to ensure projects progress efficiently and are delivered on time.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for someone who is:

- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
This role would particularly suit someone with experience in engineering, manufacturing, construction or plant hire who enjoys organising people and seeing projects successfully delivered from start to finish.
Whilst previous Project Coordination experience would be advantageous, we're equally interested in candidates with the right attitude, organisational skills and willingness to learn.
Essential Skills
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Word).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

- Booking plant and equipment.
- Preparing project documentation.
- Coordinating engineers.
- Planning installations.
- Tracking project progress.
- Supporting successful project delivery from start to finish.
