OPTION TWO
Hours: From 16-17.5hours (5 days per week)
Shifts: 8.30am-9.30am & 1.00-3.30pm
Break: No entitlement
Holidays: Annual leave entitlement as per https://www.gov.uk/calculate-your-holiday-entitlement Worked out in hours depending on contract to be taken in line with school holidays when pickups are not required
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Essential Requirements
· Full UK Driving Licence
· Clean/Reasonable Driving Record
· Friendly, reliable and responsible approach to transporting and working with children
· Good communication and timekeeping skills
· Two satisfactory relevant references.
· Satisfactory Access NI Disclosure Check & Clear Health Declaration from G.P.

· D1 Category Driving Licence
· Previous experience working with children
· Child Protection/Safeguarding Training
· Paediatric First Aid
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, caring and responsible person to join our team. The role will involve school drop offs and pick ups supporting the daycare team with staff break cover, and carrying out light domestic duties to help keep the setting clean, tidy and running smoothly.
Main Duties
· Safely transport children to and from school in the buddies vehicles
· Complete morning drop offs and afternoon school pickups at the agreed times
· Ensure all children are safely seated and wearing their seat belt/appropriate restraints before the vehicle moves
· Follow all road traffic laws and drive in a safe, careful and responsible manner at all times
· Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects or concerns immediately
· Ensure all children are collected from and handed over to the appropriate authorised adult at their schools
· Maintain a calm, friendly and professional manner with children at all times
· Support children getting safely into and out of the vehicle
· Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families and buddies at all times
· Report any incidents, accidents, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly to management
· Keep the vehicle clean, tidy and suitable for transporting children
· Assist with light domestic duties and break cover between school runs, where applicable to the contracted hours
· Comply with all buddies policies and procedures, particularly those relating to safeguarding, health & safety and child protection
· Undertake any relevant training required for the role
This is a varied role suited to someone who is dependable, enjoys working with children and is happy to support the wider daycare team with a positive attitude alongside driving duties
Pay: £14.00 per hour
