Job Title: Site Security Assistant
Overview:
Join Auckland College Independent School as a Site Security Assistant and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our school premises at the start and end of our school day. As a valued member of our team, you will oversee site security operations and implement measures to protect students, staff, and property. This role operates on a split shift; the morning shift is from 7am-9.30am and the afternoon shift from 2.30pm-6pm.
Responsibilities:
-Control entry of visitors to the school premises.
-Conduct regular patrols to monitor and maintain security across the school premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms or calls for assistance to ensure a swift resolution of security issues.
- Implement and enforce security protocols and procedures to safeguard the school environment.
- Collaborate with school management to develop strategies for loss prevention and risk mitigation.
- Maintain accurate records of security incidents, investigations, and actions taken.
Qualifications:
-Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (we can apply for one for you if necessary)
- Proven experience in a security-related role, with a focus on surveillance and loss prevention.
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
