We are seeking an experienced and motivated Solar PV Roofer / Solar Panel Fitter to join our growing renewable energy installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe installation of Solar PV mounting systems and solar panels on domestic and commercial properties, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
This role requires an individual with strong roofing experience, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Install Solar PV mounting systems and solar panels on pitched and flat roofs.
* Carry out roof assessments prior to installation and identify any defects or hazards.
* Ensure all installations comply with manufacturer specifications, MCS standards, and relevant building regulations.
* Work safely at height using appropriate fall protection equipment.
* Install roof hooks, rails, flashings, and weatherproofing systems.
* Assist Solar PV electricians where required during installations.
* Complete installation paperwork, photographs, and quality assurance documentation.
* Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in good condition.
* Liaise professionally with customers and site representatives.
* Ensure all work areas are left clean and tidy upon completion.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 2 years’ roofing experience.
* Experience installing Solar PV systems.
* Working at Height certification.
* Valid CSCS Card.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team.
* Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
Desirable Qualifications
* Solar PV Installation qualification.
* PAS 2030 / PAS 2035 awareness.
* IPAF certification.
* Scaffold inspection awareness.
* First Aid at Work certification.
* Asbestos Awareness training.
