This role will include:
- Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirement.
- General housekeeping of the factories and plants.
- Contaminated waste bins – red contaminated waste bins located on the shop floor to be emptied.
- Metal swarf skips - contact service provider when skips are requiring emptying.
- Swarf bins - monitor and empty machine swarf bins daily.
- Machine areas - Walk round and clean up any spills and leaks also clean around machines.
- Cleaning consumables stock check - All cleaning fluids and consumables to be stock checked and ordered.
- Forklifting - loading and unloading of deliveries and assisting moving material around site.
- Machine clean outs - Clean out coolant from tank, fill with correct coolant percentage.
- Coolant and oil stock levels - Monitor stock levels of machine coolant and oil barrels.
- Arranging and documenting routine inspections, replenishment, and cleaning activities.
- Adapting to a variety of tasks which could include cleaning our properties, cleaning windows and other general duties as required.
- Supporting all areas of the business with any maintenance related activity as requested.
Skills and experience required:
- Driving Licence (desirable)
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
- Able to communicate and liaise across all levels.
- Ability to thrive within a fast-paced manufacturing business environment.
