Buston and Maughan are now seeking an experienced Heating Gas Supervisor to strengthen their existing team in their continued and successful growth.
The ideal candidate will supervise gas installation, servicing, maintenance and repair works across allocated sites, ensuring all works are completed safely, compliantly, to required quality standards and in line with customer expectations. The Supervisor will provide technical support to engineers, conduct inspections, promote a positive safety culture and ensure operational targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
· Supervise and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
· Ensure works are completed in accordance with company procedures, Gas Safe regulations and customer specifications
· Monitor productivity and quality standards across projects
· Escalate operational issues and recommend corrective actions
· Identify defects and ensure corrective actions are completed
· Carry our regular site H&S inspections
· Complete visual quality inspections of completed works
· Undertake end-of-day quality checks and carry out customer satisfaction checks
· Raise follow-on works for other trades
· Ensure all engineers follow safe systems of work.
· Investigate and report accidents, incidents and near misses
· Promote a positive safety culture across the teams
· Provide technical guidance to engineers when required
· Support surveyors as required
· Maintain positive relationships with clients and residents
· Record inspections, audits and observations within Simpro.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
· Proven experience within the gas industry.
· Relevant Gas qualifications.
· Current gas safe registration.
· Knowledge of current Gas Safety Regulations, industry standards and best practice.
· Sound understanding of Health & Safety, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
· Knowledge of quality assurance processes and inspection standards.
· Familiarity with scheduling, job management and reporting systems (e.g. Simpro or similar)
· Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate and manage field-based teams.
· Ability to carry out site inspections, audits and quality checks effectively.
Additional Requirements
SSSTS, CSCS , Working at height, Manual handling, Asbestos awareness and CRB check - desirable
Full UK Driving License.
Ability to travel to operational sites as required.
Pay: £42,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
