This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the day-to-day running of a friendly, community-focused health club, helping members achieve their fitness and wellbeing goals while delivering outstanding customer service.
We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable leading fitness classes, welcoming members, and ensuring the club operates each day smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening and closing the health club
- Delivering a range of group fitness classes
- Welcoming members and providing excellent customer service
- Building positive relationships with members
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the club
- Carrying out basic administrative tasks
- Supporting new member inductions
- Responding to enquiries by phone, email and in person
- Promoting memberships and club services
- Supporting the overall smooth operation of the club
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and professional
- Passionate about health and fitness
- Confident leading group exercise classes
- Organised and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently
- Reliable and trustworthy
- Happy to take ownership of the club during shifts
- Flexible with working hours, including evenings and Saturdays
Essential Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good communication skills
Desirable
- Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification (minimum)
- Group Exercise qualification or proven experience delivering classes
- Level 3 Personal Trainer
- Experience within a health club or leisure environment
- First Aid qualification
- Sales or membership experience
Hours
30-40 hours per week (to be discussed).
A mixture of mornings, evenings and Saturday shifts.
Salary
£28,000–£32,000 per annum
