EVENTS & MARKETING MANAGER
Full-Time | Part-Time | Freelance
Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience and hours
Create. Promote. Deliver. Grow.
We're looking for a creative, commercially minded Events & Marketing Manager to join our growing hospitality group and take ownership of creating exciting events, driving marketing activity and growing our events, private hire and revenue opportunities across five unique venues.
This is an opportunity for someone who wants real ownership and creative freedom — someone who can come up with an idea, build it into a campaign or event and then make it happen.
You'll have the opportunity to work across five different venues, each with its own identity, audience and opportunities.
THE ROLE
We're looking for someone who can spot an opportunity and turn it into something that gets people through the door.
You'll be responsible for:
- Creating and developing new events and experiences
- Building and managing a strong events calendar across our venues
- Developing promotions and marketing incentives to drive footfall and sales
- Creating campaigns around key dates, sporting events, celebrations and local events
- Working closely with venue managers and operational teams
- Developing social media and promotional ideas
- Supporting the promotion of existing events, offers and experiences
- Identifying opportunities to increase footfall on quieter trading days
- Working with external partners, suppliers, DJs, entertainers and performers
- Developing partnerships and promotional opportunities
- Tracking campaign and event performance and adapting where necessary
- Helping build the identity and reputation of each venue
- Keeping up with hospitality, events, social media and entertainment trends
EVENTS & PRIVATE HIRE
A key part of the role will be growing our private hire and events business across the group.
You'll take ownership of enquiries from the initial conversation through to confirmed booking and work closely with the venue teams to ensure events are delivered successfully.
This will include:
- Responding to and managing private hire enquiries
- Converting enquiries into confirmed bookings
- Managing and maintaining the events calendar across all five venues
- Developing attractive food, drink and entertainment packages
- Identifying opportunities to increase private hire revenue
- Building relationships with corporate clients, local businesses and event organisers
- Coordinating event requirements including catering, entertainment and promotional activity
- Following up enquiries and maximising conversion
- Preparing clear event briefs for venue management teams
- Working with operational teams to ensure events are properly planned and delivered
- Reviewing completed events and identifying opportunities for repeat business
- Developing new private hire opportunities and revenue streams
MARKETING & COMMERCIAL GROWTH
We want someone who understands that good marketing isn't just about likes and views — it's about getting people through the door.
You'll be expected to:
- Develop campaigns that generate measurable footfall and sales
- Create marketing plans around key trading periods
- Develop incentives for quieter days and periods
- Promote food, drink, brunch and entertainment offers
- Utilise local events and community opportunities
- Develop social media content ideas and campaigns
- Work with venue teams to generate content
- Monitor what works and what doesn't
- Look for new ways to reach our target audiences
- Help develop the individual identity of each venue
WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO:
- Is genuinely creative and full of ideas
- Understands what makes people want to go out
- Has experience in hospitality, events, marketing or entertainment
- Is commercially minded and understands the importance of ROI
- Can take an idea from concept through to delivery
- Is confident managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills
- Understands social media and digital marketing
- Is proactive rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Is comfortable working with different teams and personalities
- Can build strong relationships with clients and partners
- Can balance creativity with budgets and commercial reality
- Has excellent attention to detail
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment
THE OPPORTUNITY
We're open to structuring this role around the right person.

MOST IMPORTANTLY...
We're not necessarily looking for someone with a specific qualification.
We want someone with ideas.
Someone who can walk into a venue and think:
"We could do this..."
And then actually make it happen.
Someone who understands that a great event needs to be created, marketed, sold and delivered.
If you've got a creative mind, understand hospitality and know how to turn an idea into bums on seats, bookings in the diary, sales behind the bar and memorable experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
