Machine Control Coordinator - Surveys - Sizewell C - Suffolk Site based Opportunity with the Civil Works Alliance (CWA), Supporting Sizewell C
As part of the CWA (Civil Works Alliance), you will support the building of Sizewell C. Sizewell C will be a 3.2-gigawatt power station generating low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes and will play a key role in our energy future, supplying reliable, clean electricity for at least 60 years. This role will be within the Enabling and Earthwork Section.
What will you do?
The Machine Control Coordinator supports the Civil Works Alliance scopes of work by managing, coordinating and deploying machine control systems across excavators, dozers, graders, and other heavy plant equipment used in civils and earthworks operations. The role ensures accurate design file conversion and model deployment, real-time system performance monitoring, technical support to plant operators, and seamless coordination between survey/engineering teams and field operations. The Machine Control Coordinator maintains compliance with project specifications, Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA) requirements, and safety standards to optimise construction precision and efficiency for the Sizewell C Enabling & Earthworks package.
Role reports to the CWA Enabling and Earthwork Survey Manager.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications & Education:
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related discipline.
- Desirable: Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g. RICS, ICES, CIHT).
Experience:
- experience in a similar role as a Site Engineer, Land Surveyor or similar
- Earthworks experience in a major project.
- Proven track record implementing processes and guidelines and reporting.
- Track records dealing with quality assurance records.
Experience in dealing with sub-contractors, equipment and other site personnel
