East Coast Construction Services Ltd is looking for a reliable, confident and motivated individual to join our team as a Part-Time Sales Person / Internal Sales Associate.
We are a supplier of PE pipe and fittings, barrier pipe and fittings, compression fittings, electrofusion fittings, and ductile iron pipe and fittings, supplying customers within the construction and utilities industries.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively contacting both new and existing customers by telephone to generate sales opportunities, develop customer relationships and help grow the company's sales and customer base.
This is a proactive sales role, and we are particularly interested in candidates who have previous experience working in sales, telesales, internal sales or a similar customer-focused sales position.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively contact new and existing customers by telephone to promote our products and services.
- Generate new business opportunities and identify potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business.
- Follow up customer enquiries, quotations and previous sales opportunities.
- Convert enquiries and sales opportunities into orders.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales and develop existing customer accounts.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products.
- Promote our range of PE, barrier, compression, electrofusion and ductile iron pipe and fittings.
- Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, enquiries and sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the wider team to process customer enquiries and orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional and friendly approach at all times.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Preferably has previous experience working in sales, telesales, internal sales.
- Is confident making outbound sales calls and contacting potential new customers.
- Has a proven ability or strong desire to generate sales and develop new business.
- Is confident and professional when communicating with customers over the telephone.
- Has excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Is proactive, self-motivated and results-driven.
- Is reliable, organised and able to manage their own workload.
- Has good computer and administrative skills.
- Is comfortable following up quotations, enquiries and sales leads.
Previous experience within the construction, utilities, drainage, pipeline, civil engineering or builders' merchant industries would be advantageous but is not essential.
Working Hours
Part-Time: 20 Hours Per Week
Working days and hours can be discussed with the successful candidate.
