Job Title: Pharmacy Apprentice
Location: This role will be based at one of our Manchester Branches and will require you to travel to branches across the greater Manchester area
Salary: This role is in line with National Minimum Wage
Working Pattern: Monday- Friday. Saturdays as required, on a rota basis.
Hours: 40 with 20% off the job training
Type of Role: Temporary - This is an 18 months contract, with the opportunity to go permanent
About the Role:
As a Pharmacy Apprentice, you will gain the skills and knowledge needed to work in a community pharmacy while completing the Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 Apprenticeship.
You will work across a variety of Peak Pharmacy branches, gaining valuable experience in different pharmacy environments while being supported by experienced colleagues and a dedicated mentor.
Your duties will include:
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and customers.
- Supporting the dispensing process under supervision.
- Operating the till and processing sales accurately.
- Assisting with prescription collection and handout procedures.
- Supporting stock management including deliveries, ordering and stock rotation.
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at all times.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Supporting the pharmacy team with day-to-day operational tasks.
- Completing apprenticeship training, coursework and off-the-job learning requirements.
- Participating in branch rotations across your allocated area.
