Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bathroom Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining bathroom fixtures and fittings in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems, along with the ability to work efficiently and safely on various projects. The ideal applicant will have experience working with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment, demonstrating a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Installing bathroom suites, including baths, showers, sinks, toilets, and associated fixtures, disabled bathrooms
- Repairing or replacing damaged or faulty plumbing components
- Using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out installations and repairs
- Conducting measurements and ensuring all fittings are level, secure, and compliant with safety standards
- Performing carpentry work such as cutting and fitting panels or cabinetry as required
- Managing heavy lifting of bathroom units and materials safely and efficiently
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant building regulations and health & safety guidelines
- Collaborating with clients to understand their requirements and providing professional advice on suitable solutions
- Maintaining a clean and organised work environment throughout each project
Experience
- Proven experience in bathroom fitting and wetrooms or similar trade roles within the construction or renovation industry
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and basic carpentry techniques
- Strong plumbing skills with knowledge of pipework installation and repair
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to bathroom fixtures and fittings
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods
- Experience working in both residential and commercial settings is desirable
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving; willingness to operate company vehicles if required
