Role Description
We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Garden & Groundcare Machinery Sales Advisor to join our Garden & Landscaping Centre in Ellon. This role involves engaging with Domestic and Professional customers in person, understanding their needs, and providing expert advice on our range of garden and groundcare equipment. There may be occasions when you'll visit the customer's home or commercial business to fully understand their project in order to give the right advice.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands on experience with garden machinery brands such as Stihl, Husqvarna, Honda and Toro. Experience with selling robotic lawn mowers would be preferred but not essential.
Duties
- Actively engage with customers both in-store and onsite to promote our garden and groundcare machinery range.
- Provide expert advice on product features, benefits, and suitable solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial enquiry through to closing the sale, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers whilst identifying new business opportunities.
- Organise product demonstrations for customers as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B and B2C sales within the horticultural or outdoor machinery sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Valid car/van driving licence.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a professional attitude at all times.
- Ability to work independently and self motivated.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions for future reference.
This role permanent offers 40 hours per week in a 7 day trading operation.
Pay: £29,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
