Job Overview
The Management Consultant will provide professional business and management consultancy services to clients across a range of operational and strategic areas. The role will involve analysing business processes, financial and operational information, organisational structures and performance data to identify areas for improvement.
The successful candidate will work with clients to understand their business requirements and challenges, assess existing processes and systems, develop practical recommendations and support the implementation of agreed improvements. The role requires strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, together with the ability to present complex business information clearly to clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse clients' business operations, organisational structures, processes and performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Review business information, management reports, operational data and performance indicators to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Conduct business and operational reviews to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and procedures.
- Meet with clients, managers and relevant stakeholders to understand business requirements, operational challenges and strategic objectives.
- Conduct interviews, workshops and information-gathering sessions to obtain relevant business and operational information.
- Identify inefficiencies, process gaps, operational risks and opportunities for cost reduction or improved performance.
- Develop practical recommendations and improvement plans based on research, analysis and client requirements.
- Evaluate alternative business processes, systems and working practices and assess their potential impact on business performance.
- Prepare business cases, feasibility assessments, reports and recommendations for clients and senior management.
- Analyse quantitative and qualitative information to support business planning and management decision-making.
- Develop project plans setting out objectives, activities, responsibilities, timescales and expected deliverables where required.
- Support clients in reviewing and improving business processes, operating procedures and organisational structures.
- Assist with the implementation of recommended business improvements and monitor progress against agreed objectives.
- Support change-management activities by communicating proposed changes, identifying potential implementation issues and assisting stakeholders with the adoption of new processes.
- Establish and monitor appropriate performance measures and key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of implemented recommendations.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports, presentations and supporting documentation for clients and internal management.
- Present findings, analysis and recommendations to clients and other stakeholders in a clear and professional manner.
- Research relevant market, industry and business information where required to support consultancy assignments.
- Maintain accurate records of consultancy projects, analysis, findings, recommendations and client requirements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and specialists from different business functions to deliver consultancy assignments.
- Manage multiple consultancy assignments and prioritise activities to meet agreed deadlines and client requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of client and company information and comply with applicable company policies and professional standards.
- Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the level and nature of the Management Consultant role.

Qualifications and Experience
- Previous professional experience in management consultancy, business analysis, business advisory, process improvement or a closely related field.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management Consultancy or another relevant discipline is desirable.
- Relevant professional qualifications or equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
- Experience of analysing business operations, preparing recommendations and producing client-facing reports is desirable.
- Experience working with business data, performance measures and operational information is desirable.
- Experience of supporting business transformation, process improvement or organisational change projects is advantageous.
Client and Project Responsibilities
The Management Consultant will be expected to work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver consultancy assignments. This may include undertaking research, analysing information, preparing recommendations, presenting findings and supporting the implementation of agreed improvements.
The role may involve working across different client organisations, industries and business functions. The consultant will be expected to adapt their approach to the individual requirements of each assignment while maintaining professional standards and agreed project objectives.
Performance Expectations
Performance will be assessed based on the quality and accuracy of business analysis, the relevance and practicality of recommendations, successful delivery of consultancy assignments, effective communication with clients and stakeholders, adherence to agreed deadlines and the contribution made to improving client business performance.

Pay: From £50,200.00 per year
