Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support during food preparation.
- Ensure that all food is prepared according to health and safety regulations.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
- Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Help maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with both kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
