Temporary Photoshop & Image Selection Assistant (Photography) - (August - December)
Pret-a-Portrait, a leading school photography company, proudly provides outstanding images to over 13 countries worldwide from our scenic rural offices in Hertfordshire.
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with proven Photoshop experience and a strong eye for photography to join our team. The primary focus of this role is image selection and quality control: you will spend most of your time selecting the absolute best group images to form our final class photos. Additionally, you will use Photoshop to review processed images, performing quality control checks and making digital edits or corrections where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Image Selection (Main Focus): Review large volumes of school photography to identify and select the absolute best expressions and poses for the final class images.
- Digital Quality Control: Use Photoshop to check over the processed photos, making sure everything looks natural, everyone looks smiley, and the final image looks great.
- Minor Image Editing: Use Photoshop tools to perform quick touch-ups, minor adjustments, or small corrective edits to our group images as required.
- Data & Workflow Management: Efficiently manage images and data to ensure a smooth, high-volume production workflow under tight seasonal deadlines.
Candidate Profile (Skills Required):
- Photoshop Proficiency: Strong, practical experience using Adobe Photoshop (specifically working with layers, masking, and selection tools).
- The Right Eye: An exceptional eye for detail, facial expressions, and overall image composition.
- Efficiency & Speed: Ability to maintain high accuracy while working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- High Focus & Accuracy: Ability to spot small flaws or inconsistencies quickly during repetitive tasks.
- Reliability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Work Environment:
· Location: Our picturesque rural office is located between Royston and Buntingford in North Hertfordshire.
· Transport: Please note that there is no public transport available to our site, so reliable transportation is essential.
· On-Site Only: Please note that this is an on-location role only; remote work or working from home is not offered.
