With an ambitious target of building 100 new homes every year, we're looking for a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship Programme as a Trainee Development Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity, for an individual who wants to earn while they learn, gain a fully funded Level 6 qualification, and develop a rewarding career in property development and affordable housing.
About the Role
Working within our Asset Investment Team, you'll receive structured training and mentoring from experienced development professionals while gaining practical experience across every stage of the development process. Supported by our Development Manager, you'll play an active role in delivering new affordable homes—from identifying development opportunities and preparing feasibility studies through to supporting construction projects and handing over new homes to customers.
Throughout the apprenticeship, you'll build the knowledge, skills and experience needed for a successful career in housing development.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Support the delivery of affordable housing developments from inception through to completion.

Assist with site appraisals, feasibility studies and scheme preparation.

Help prepare funding bids, including applications for Social Housing Grant.

Monitor development programmes, budgets and project milestones.
- Work alongside consultants, contractors, local authorities and other stakeholders.
- Visit construction sites to monitor progress and quality.
- Support the handover of completed homes to new tenants and leaseholders.
- Contribute to delivering excellent customer satisfaction for our new-build homes.
- Develop an understanding of sustainability, compliance, health and safety and project management within housing development.

We're looking for someone who is:

- Working towards or has achieved strong A Level (or equivalent) qualifications.

- Organised, proactive and able to manage their own workload.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Interested in construction, property, regeneration or housing.
Previous work experience is welcome but not essential —we're more interested in your attitude, enthusiasm and potential.
