Job Overview
This role works on a 2 week rota, week 1: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and week 2: Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The family require someone who can drive as this may require some school drop offs and pick ups.
We are seeking a caring and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare for children in a family setting. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, organised, and capable of engaging children in educational and recreational activities. This role offers an opportunity to support families by ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of their children while fostering a positive environment. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of French is a desirable bonus.
Responsibilities
- Supervising children during daily activities, playtime, and outings
- Preparing nutritious meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary needs
- Assisting with homework and educational activities to promote learning
- Organising engaging games and creative activities to stimulate development
- Ensuring children's safety at all times and maintaining a secure environment
- Driving children to appointments, school, or extracurricular activities when required
- Assisting with bedtime routines and organising daily schedules
- Communicating effectively with parents regarding children's progress and needs
Requirements
- Proven experience in childcare, nannying, or babysitting roles
- Valid driving licence with a clean driving record
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in French is advantageous
- Genuine love for working with children and a caring attitude
- Ability to adapt to different family routines and children's individual needs
- Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, including occasional evenings or weekends if required
