Duties
- Safely operate various trucks up to 18 tonne, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulation
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers regarding delivery schedules or any delays
- Assist with inventory management during pickups and drop-offs, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior and exterior at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a HGV driver, with a strong track record of safe driving practices
- Familiarity with local traffic laws, GPS navigation tools, and route planning software
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures to identify issues early and ensure vehicle reliability
