Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our nursery. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. This role requires a passion for early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and parents.
Duties
- Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and support a team of childcare practitioners, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that promote children's development and learning.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's development and implement appropriate strategies to support their growth.
- Ensure the nursery is safe, clean, and well-organised at all times.
- Manage budgets, resources, and staffing levels efficiently to meet the needs of the nursery.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the nursery's reputation within the community.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience in a childcare setting, preferably within a nursery environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare capacity.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for potential off-site activities or meetings.
- Full and Relevant qualification in childcare or early years education.
