Duties
- Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide installation and repairs
- Measure, cut, and shape roofing materials using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, tiles, or membranes according to project specifications
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks to create custom roofing components when necessary
- Conduct heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
- Utilize masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and other construction skills for complex roofing projects that require multi-disciplinary expertise
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting work sites regularly
Requirements
- Proven experience in roofing installation and repair with a strong understanding of roofing techniques
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings for accurate project execution
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
- Construction experience across related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing or heavy lifting is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret technical instructions clearly and follow safety guidelines diligently
- Physical strength and stamina to perform heavy lifting and work at heights comfortably
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred but not mandatory
