Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef/Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. Every other weekend, 1-2 days in the week
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
- Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to maintain high standards
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and development to meet customer preferences and seasonal availability
- Serve food efficiently during busy periods, ensuring excellent customer service
- Manage inventory levels, minimise waste, and optimise utilisation of resources
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate staff
- Demonstrated expertise in food production, culinary techniques, and presentation skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to work under pressure during peak hours while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences and a commitment to quality standards
Pay: £13.75-£19.28 per hour
