The Role
We are looking for a dynamic Service Manager with extensive experience in automotive service operations, particularly within the electric vehicle sector. Known for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and driving operational excellence, bringing a strong focus on team leadership, efficiency, and quality service delivery. Committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in aftersales management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily service department operations, ensuring compliance with BYD standards and policies while managing the team to reach both financial and customer satisfaction targets.
- Recruit, train, and mentor service staff, promoting a collaborative and accountable work environment. Manage technician certification and ongoing training programs.
- Enhance customer interactions by addressing concerns promptly and effectively. Strive to exceed customer expectations and build long-term relationships.
- Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement. Set and communicate clear performance goals for the service team.
- Ensure that service quality meets or exceeds industry standards, focusing on first-time repairs and minimising rework.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a service management role within the automotive industry, preferably with experience in electric vehicles or a luxury brand.
- Strong understanding of service operations, vehicle maintenance, and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Good customer focused attitude is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
- Technical qualification would be beneficial
