Overview
We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting chefs to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities
- Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen.
- Supporting the organisation of stock and supplies to facilitate efficient kitchen operations.
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Helping with general cleaning duties across the restaurant or hotel premises as required.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods to maintain smooth workflow.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates.
- Familiarity with basic food preparation, cooking, or culinary tasks is desirable.
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
