Core Responsibilities
· Operational Support: Partner with the Nursery Manager to oversee daily operations, maintaining high standards of care and education.
· Team Leadership: Mentor, inspire, and guide childcare staff to foster a positive, inclusive team culture.
· Family Partnerships: Act as a warm, professional point of contact to build strong relationships with parents and families.
· Educational Excellence: Drive a creative, diverse, and child-centred curriculum.
Job Requirements
· Qualifications: Full and relevant Level 3 (or above) in Early Years.
· Core Skills: Good written and spoken English, and Maths qualifications.
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years working in a nursery setting.
· Safeguarding: Sound, up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding and child protection rules.
· Vetting: Current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to undergo a new check).
Certifications (Essential or willing to obtain)
· Paediatric First Aid Certificate
· Food Hygiene Level 2
Desirable Skills
· Forest Schools knowledge or an interest in outdoor learning
· SEND experience or specialized training
· A highly creative approach to early years education
Schedule: Day shift, 4 days per week (37 hours total)
