We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and committed Academy Coaches to join our coaching team and help inspire the next generation of footballers.
The Role
As an Academy Coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate coaching sessions that align with the club's coaching philosophy. You will support players in their development while promoting professionalism, teamwork, respect and enjoyment of the game.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate high-quality coaching sessions.
- Coach and manage academy teams during training sessions and matchdays.
- Create a positive, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment.
- Support the technical, tactical, physical and social development of players.
- Monitor player progress and provide regular feedback.
- Work closely with fellow coaches and academy staff to ensure consistency across the programme.
- Maintain accurate attendance and player development records where required.
- Ensure all sessions are delivered in accordance with safeguarding, health and safety, and FAW regulations.
- Represent Flint Town United FC professionally at all times.
Essential Requirements
- FAW/UEFA C Licence (or working towards).
- Current FAW First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid FAW Safeguarding Award (or willingness to obtain).
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for developing young players.
- Reliable, organised and committed to continuous professional development.
Desirable
- UEFA B Licence.
- Previous experience coaching within an academy or grassroots environment.
- Experience working with players aged 6–18.
- Knowledge of the FAW Academy Programme.
- Full UK driving licence.

Working Hours
This role primarily involves:
- Evening training sessions during the week.
- Weekend fixtures and festivals.
- Additional academy events as required.
