Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Nursery Bank Staff to support our early childhood education programmes. This role involves working flexibly between our rooms to assist with childcare, supervision, and organisation of activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of adapting to different environments. Previous nursery experience and early childhood education knowledge are highly desirable. This position offers valuable experience in childcare management and leadership within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the supervision and care of children in nursery settings, ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Support the delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating environment for children
- Communicate effectively with children, colleagues, and parents or guardians to ensure clear understanding of children's needs and progress
- Support management in implementing policies related to child safety, health, and hygiene standards
- Adapt quickly to different nursery environments and team requirements
- Assist with organisational tasks such as setting up activities, preparing materials, and tidying up after sessions
- Drive company vehicles when required for transporting supplies or attending various nursery locations
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a nursery or early childhood setting is preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Strong management and leadership skills to support team coordination
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to work flexibly across different shifts and locations as needed
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting supplies or attending multiple sites
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children, showing patience, creativity, and organisational skills
- A recognised qualification in childcare or early childhood education is advantageous but not essential
