We are seeking a detail-focused and proactive Production ERP Key User to support the accurate and timely recording of production and inventory activities within our ERP system.
This is a hands-on, operational role that plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of production and stock data. You will support production users with day-to-day ERP usage, ensure correct transaction processing, and help maintain high-quality master data.
You will work closely with teams across Production, Warehouse, Technical, Quality, Finance/Controlling, and ERP/IT to ensure smooth production processes, reliable inventory records, and strong data accuracy across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key ERP point of contact for the Production team, providing day-to-day system support to users.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of production and inventory transactions within the ERP system.
- Process, monitor, and validate stock movements, adjustments, corrections, and other inventory-related transactions.
- Investigate and resolve ERP discrepancies, including missing postings, incorrect production confirmations, and stock variances.
- Support and maintain production master data, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, work centres, and production versions.
- Collaborate with Production, Warehouse, Technical, Quality, Finance/Controlling, and IT teams to resolve system and process issues.
- Support ERP users through training, guidance, and documentation of processes and best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience working with an ERP system in a manufacturing or production environment.
- SAP experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Strong understanding of production execution processes and how shop-floor activities should be reflected in ERP.
- Good understanding of inventory movements, stock control and accurate transaction recording.
- High attention to detail and strong data accuracy skills.
- Ability to investigate issues, identify causes and support timely resolution.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure.
- Confident user of ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and standard office tools.
- Good communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to complete records, follow procedures and document issues clearly.
- Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
