Overview:
We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Operational Excellence Consultant responsible for identifying and quantifying opportunities within our expanding Operations Excellence Team. This role will translate improvement activity into tangible outcomes whilst providing a proactive forward-looking approach. Our mission is to develop the tools and technology that enable our teams to get our customers back to normal.
The Operational Excellence Consultant will be a key component of the team in executing and delivering efficiencies that contribute to our strategic ambition. Strong engagement, storytelling and problem solving skills will help identify, shape, inform and execute value to the business.
You will spend time at any operational site or department that effects operational process to develop long term solutions, this may be delivered through recommendations to the function but may on occasion require ownership of the actions through the Operational Excellence Team. This role bridges the gap between showcasing the critical work the team do and where the team point there efforts.
You will analyse and provide deep subject matter expertise while facilitating internal and external collaboration to driver key decisions within the Operational Excellence Team. The complexity of decisions and the strategic nature of the role necessitate a forward-thinking and collaborative approach.
The role requires thinking and planning in alignment with Solus' long-term business strategy. Decisions made have a significant impact on the organisation's operational landscape and long-term success.
Responsibilities:
As our Solus Operational Excellent Consultant you will:

Work in ambiguity with ability to self-organise, prioritise workload and keep to deadlines. Think on your feet, overcome obstacles, and bring ideas to the table

Create Business Cases and understanding, tracking, and presenting benefits

Be able to identify risks and work within the change governance framework

Execute risk mitigation plans where appropriate and get sign off for risk acceptance from appropriate channels where required

Demonstrate strong stakeholder management skills; facilitating discussions with people across different functions and seniority levels with effective communication and presentation skills, capable of organising workshops, forums and acting as a facilitator

Practice continuous improvement, development, and organisational performance

Stay abreast of industry trends, anticipating changes in workforce dynamics, and adjusting strategies to align with the evolving needs of the organisation

Be adaptable and flexible in your thinking and planning. Regularly reassess strategies and adjusting based on feedback, performance metrics, and external factors

Interoperate reports from our MI and Operational Excellence Analyst to prioritise workloads and change activity for the Operational Excellence Team.

Anticipate projects that may need additional business support and skills creating functioning collaborative working groups where required.
This role would suit someone with strong data analytical literacy with thinking and long term planning (3+ years) in alignment with Solus' business strategy.
Qualifications:
- Experience with MI tools such as PowerBI, Excel etc

Strategic thinking, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Business Process improvement experience
- Relationship building and strong stakeholder management ability

Excellent knowledge of general insurance principles and practices
