Overview
We have a very basic, but usable, kitchen that is slowly being invested in. We are putting out some incredible food that is being very well received and talked about on socials. The Cottage Inn has had a troubled few years and we are bringing it back to life through hard graft and dedication. Our aim is to offer very high quality pub food made with better than average ingredients. We are looking for people who can run multiple menus, such as 2 for £18 smaller plates, Sunday Roast, Steak Night, potential pie night etc, the usual menu types, and can maximise the use of ingredients across dishes to control stock levels. This is not an easy job, you would be stepping in and running the food operation in the head chefs absence. This is a "role your sleeves" up and get stuck to position that will include pot washing on slow days, some lone working during quiet sessions, and deep cleaning. Are you under-appreciated in your current position, are you ready to prove yourself in a kitchen that can become something special because of your contribution? This could be the right position for you. You would be working with a Tenant, not a big branded chain, so your voice will matter and help develop the whole food offer. We also offer a number of bonus schemes that reward hard work, team work, and results.
