We're growing, and we need a hands-on supervisor to help keep standards high and clients happy.
The role
This is a hands-on, customer-facing supervisory role reporting to our operations lead. You'll clean to our standards yourself, keep an eye on quality, support and train the team, and be a calm, capable point of contact for both clients and cleaners. When someone's off, you're the first person we turn to for cover.
The hours are mostly evenings, Monday to Friday, up to 15 hours a week, with the odd daytime or weekend shift when the business needs it. We'll agree a regular pattern with you.
What you'll be doing
- Cleaning to Acies standards — dusting, mopping, vacuuming, bins, deep cleans
- Checking quality across our contracts and putting things right before a client notices
- Covering holidays and absences, and troubleshooting day to day
- Being the first point of contact for clients and front-line cleaners
- Training new starters and coaching the existing team
- Light admin: scheduling, timesheets, and holiday and absence records
- Flagging anything beyond the day-to-day to the operations lead
What we're looking for
Essential
- The right to work in the UK
- Previous commercial cleaning experience, to a high standard
- Experience supervising people and solving problems calmly
- Confident, reassuring communication with clients
- A smartphone and basic computer literacy — we run shifts and reports through an app
- Reliable, flexible, and comfortable in a reactive role
Desirable
- Team-lead or supervisory experience in cleaning specifically
- Quick to pick up new digital tools
- Clean driving licence
