Duties
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided, including updates to care plans and daily logs
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Drive or accompany clients on errands or appointments as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
- Use IT systems efficiently to document care activities and update relevant records in compliance with privacy standards
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Basic IT literacy for managing electronic records and care documentation
- Valid driving license and ability to drive as part of your role for home visits or errands
- Knowledge of care plans, health & safety protocols, and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring, respectful attitude towards clients of all ages
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
