We are recruiting for an experienced maintenance person to join our friendly team at our 5-star holiday park on the beach on the beautiful South Coast of Cornwall.
In this seasonal role, you will be responsible for the maintenance of our park, facilities, holiday homes and equipment, ensuring the park continues to offer the 5-star standards expected. Experience in general property and grounds management would be advantageous.
You will be required to work 40 hours per week over 7 days on a rota system, including weekends during busier peak holiday periods. Our open season is from March-October.
Responsibilities:
- General park maintenance including mowing, hedge cutting and strimming
- Performing basic, routine maintenance tasks, including mechanical and plumbing repairs
- Working outdoors in all weathers
- Inspecting and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions to determine the root cause and implement necessary repairs
- Responding to our guests' maintenance requests in a timely manner, effectively deciding on the priority of tasks, and ensuring excellent customer service interaction
- Working within a small team to deliver a high-quality and efficient service
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment
- Uniform is provided and a smart presentable appearance is required at all times
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience with equipment and machinery
- Ability to confidently perform various maintenance tasks such as basic plumbing repairs and mechanical work
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees and our guests
- Strong problem-solving abilities to identify issues and implement effective solutions
- A full, clean driving license
