STEPFRAME / LOW LOADER DRIVERS WANTED
Westbury Haulage has two Class 1 driver positions available from our yard near Alfreton, Derbyshire.
EXPERIENCED LOW LOADER DRIVER
Moving plant, machinery and abnormal loads across the UK using step-frame, extending low loader and low-bed trailers, with work up to 80-ton gross under STGO.
You must have previous low loader and plant experience, good load-securing knowledge and be confident loading and unloading machinery.
URBAN LOW LOADER DRIVER
We also have an urban low loader position available. We advertised this role a couple of months ago, but the trailer has only just become ready after delays.
This position would suit someone looking to get into low loader and plant transport work. We are very happy to train the right person, but we will not babysit you. You must be willing to learn, use your initiative and take responsibility for the equipment you are trusted with.
For both positions, you must have:
- Class 1 C+E licence
- Driver CPC and digital tacho card
- A professional attitude
- Good attention to detail
- Be able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner
- Be prepared for four nights out per week
- You must look after the truck, trailer and customers’ machinery
CPCS or NPORS plant tickets would be an advantage.
Pay: From £16.00 per hour
