Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified electrician to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various facilities, commercially and domestically. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical components operate safely and efficiently, supporting the overall functionality of our operations. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues before they develop into major problems.
- Follow blueprints, technical diagrams and electrical codes to ensure accurate and compliant installations.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, including repairs, upgrades and inspections.
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to complete projects on time and within safety guidelines.
- Respond promptly to electrical emergencies or system failures to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes and safety standards at all times.
- Be personable, responsible and reliable.
Qualifications
- Valid ECS card required.
- Proven experience working as an electrician or in a related electrical role with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods and safety procedures.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, lifting heavy equipment and standing for extended periods.
- Electrical experience in commercial and domestic developments.
- Full, Preferably clean UK drivers license, with own vehicle is desirable. (Van may be provided for the right candidate.)
- Available for occasional overtime and weekend work.
- Uniform provided.
