What you will be doing:
The key responsibilities of a Sports and Fitness Assistant include, but are not limited to:

Responsible for the Sports Park site and facilities including 11-a-side 3G pitch, outdoor tennis courts and strength & conditioning suite.

Assist with lifeguarding swimming sessions
-
Carrying out gym inductions, programmes and offering help and advice if required
-
Welcome and develop connections with all guests, providing support, assistance and specialist knowledge where required
Qualifications/Experience:
-
National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (to be achieved within 2 months of probation organisation to fund training)

Gym Instructor qualification (to be achieved within 2 months of probation organisation to fund training)

Enthusiastic and committed
-
Good customer service and communication skills
Note – the candidate must be a competent swimmer and be willing to obtain the essential qualifications within the specified timeframe. These qualifications will be funded by Unique Fitness.
Competent swimmer criteria include:
-
Jump/dive into deep water
-
Swim 50 metres in less than 60 seconds
-
Swim 100 metres continuously on front and back in deep water
-
Tread water for 30 seconds
-
Surface dive to the floor of the pool
-
Climb out unaided without ladder/steps and where the pool design permits.
