Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including lorries and vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Deliver goods to clients or designated locations within specified timeframes.
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and updating delivery logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with warehouse activities such as stock organisation and inventory checks when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving procedures.
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving, including handling heavy vehicles such as lorries or vans.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks regularly.
- Good communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Prior warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are organised, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding service while maintaining safety standards on the road.
