Job Description:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's compliance framework, ensuring that all business activities are conducted in accordance with applicable UK laws, regulations, and industry standards. The role is responsible for reviewing and managing commercial contracts, implementing effective compliance systems to identify and mitigate risks, developing policies and procedures, conducting compliance audits, and delivering internal compliance training.
Entry Requirements of this Job:
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) at Level 6 on the UK Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) in Law, Marketing, Business, Communications, or another relevant discipline
- Relevant compliance experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the company's compliance requirements, ensuring adherence to all applicable UK laws, regulations, and industry standards.
· Review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
· Implement and maintain effective compliance systems to identify, assess, and mitigate regulatory and operational risks.
· Develop and deliver internal compliance training to promote awareness of legal and regulatory obligations across the organisation.
· Prepare, review, and update company policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain an effective compliance framework.
· Conduct regular compliance audits and investigations, ensuring that any identified issues are promptly addressed through corrective actions.
· Prepare compliance reports for senior management and provide recommendations to strengthen governance and regulatory compliance.
· Collaborate with the Legal, Operations, and Finance teams to embed compliance requirements into business processes and decision-making.
· Monitor changes in UK legislation and regulatory requirements, advising senior management on necessary policy and operational changes.
· Ensure the company complies with all applicable UK laws, regulations, and industry standards.
· Monitor compliance with PPE, product safety, labelling, quality assurance, and certification requirements for workwear and safety products.
· Liaise with suppliers to verify product certifications, technical documentation, and compliance with relevant UK and international standards.
· Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, UK GDPR, Consumer Protection, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
· Identify compliance risks and recommend practical measures to minimise legal, financial, and operational exposure.
· Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation to support audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.
Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
