Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Hard Landscaper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, constructing, and maintaining outdoor hardscape features that enhance the beauty and functionality of landscape projects. Your expertise in using various tools and machinery will help bring outdoor visions to life, creating durable and aesthetically pleasing environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from patios and pathways to retaining walls and decorative features, all while contributing to the transformation of outdoor spaces.
Duties
- Construct and install hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, steps, and decorative features using appropriate materials and techniques
- Operate power tools, hand tools, excavators, and other machinery safely and efficiently to prepare sites and execute projects
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including cleaning, sealing, and repairing existing hardscape features to ensure longevity
- Collaborate with team members to plan project layouts, interpret blueprints, and ensure precise execution of design specifications
- Manage irrigation systems related to hardscape areas, ensuring proper installation and functionality for sustainable landscape health
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to maintain optimal performance and safety standards
- Support gardening and horticulture activities as needed to complement hardscape installations for cohesive outdoor environments
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or landscaping with a focus on hardscape projects
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices combined with mechanical aptitude for operating equipment such as excavators and power tools
- Familiarity with hand tools used in masonry, carpentry, and general construction tasks
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, or project plans accurately
- Good physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic gardening or horticulture knowledge is a plus for integrated landscape projects
- Excellent teamwork skills along with a proactive approach to safety protocols
