Summary
We are seeking a talented home style cook to join our team at Great Bradfords House.. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing tasty and nutritious meals that enhance the well-being of our residents, contributing to our mission of enriching their lives through quality care.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and preferences of residents.
- Ensure high standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen.
- Collaborate with staff to create menus that promote healthy eating.
- Manage kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Monitor food presentation and quality before serving.
- Adapt recipes to accommodate special dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef/cook or in a similar culinary role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Creativity in menu planning and meal presentation.
- Experience in a similar setting is preferred but not essential.
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and nutrition is an advantage.
Job Type: Part-time
8am - 2pm - 3 days per week - alternate weekends
Overtime - Cover the other chefs holidays and sickness where required
