Join a Growing Property Maintenance Company
We are looking for a reliable, skilled and motivated Maintenance Engineer with locksmith experience to join our expanding team.
We work exclusively with property management companies, carrying out maintenance and repairs to communal areas within residential developments. This means you'll be working on professionally managed sites rather than private domestic call-outs.
No two days are the same. You'll typically attend up to six jobs per day, carrying out a variety of planned and reactive maintenance tasks across our portfolio.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and operational efficiency of our facilities through expert locksmithing and maintenance practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting where safety and precision are paramount.
Your duties will include:
- Lock repairs, replacements and adjustments
- Door closers and communal entrance door repairs
- General building maintenance and repairs
- Minor carpentry and handyman works
- Adjustments and repairs to communal doors and ironmongery
- Diagnosing faults and providing practical repair solutions
- Completing job reports and taking site photographs
- Delivering excellent customer service while representing our company professionally
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Previous locksmith experience
- Strong all-round maintenance and handyman skills
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good problem-solving skills
- Professional, reliable and well-presented
- Comfortable travelling across a large geographical area
- Own professional hand and power tools suitable for carrying out locksmith and general maintenance works
Desirable:
- Own van (preferred), although a company van can be provided for the right candidate
- Experience working within blocks of flats or commercial property maintenance
- Additional trade skills such as carpentry, glazing, access control or door maintenance
