Chef de Partie
Victoria Square Hotel is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Chef de Partie to join our growing kitchen team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled chef who takes pride in producing high-quality food, enjoys working with fresh seasonal ingredients, and wants to develop their career within an ambitious independent hospitality business.
Our restaurant, The Orangery at Victoria Square, is proud to hold an AA Rosette for Culinary Excellence and is currently the only AA Rosette-accredited restaurant in Stirling.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about food and consistently high standards, and who wants to play an important part in the continued development of our kitchen and food offering.
Role Details:
Position: Chef de Partie
Location: Victoria Square Hotel, Stirling
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting from £30,000 per year, dependent upon experience
Job type: Full-time, permanent
Schedule: Working across a rota including weekdays, evenings and weekends
About the Role:
As a Chef de Partie at Victoria Square Hotel, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our kitchen, preparing and delivering high-quality dishes across our food offering.
Working within an AA Rosette-accredited kitchen, you will be expected to maintain consistently high standards of food preparation, cooking and presentation while working closely with the wider kitchen and front-of-house team to provide an excellent experience for our guests.
You will be confident taking responsibility for your section, preparing for service, maintaining excellent organisation and delivering consistently during busy periods.
We are continuing to develop our food offering at Victoria Square, making this an exciting opportunity for a chef who wants to contribute ideas, develop their skills and progress as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Take responsibility for your section and ensure it is fully prepared and organised for service
- Maintain the standards expected of an AA Rosette-accredited kitchen
- Ensure consistency, quality and presentation across all dishes
- Work efficiently and calmly during busy services
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen organisation across all areas of service
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained at all times
- Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation standards
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and effective management of ingredients
- Help minimise food waste and maintain good kitchen cost awareness
- Support the wider kitchen team and help ensure services run smoothly
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house colleagues
- Help maintain a positive, professional and organised kitchen environment
- Contribute ideas and support the continued development of our menus and food offering
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience through consistently high food standards
About You:
We are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar professional kitchen role
- Strong food preparation and cooking skills
- Confidence running and taking responsibility for a kitchen section
- A genuine passion for producing high-quality food
- An understanding of the standards required within a quality-focused professional kitchen
- A good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation
- Good organisation and time management skills
- The ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work across a rota including evenings and weekends
- A desire to develop their skills and progress within the business
Experience working within an AA Rosette, Michelin-listed or similar high-quality kitchen environment would be advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.

Schedule:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a rota.
The role will include a mixture of weekday, evening and weekend shifts depending on the needs of the business.
