Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Leader who is able to engage with children in a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will be trained and responsible for organising activities centred around science topics, ensuring children's wellbeing, and fostering a positive atmosphere. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about teaching.
Duties
- Supervise and teach children during after-school hours through hands on activities
- Ensuring their safety and wellbeing at all times
- Organise and lead engaging activities, and educational programmes suitable for various age groups
- Maintain a clean and organised environment within the classroom
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan programmes that promote creativity, physical activity, and learning
Requirements
- Experience in childcare, teaching or similar roles working with children
- Knowledge in science (ideally KS1 and KS2)
- Transportation of equipment would be required so own car is desired.
- Fluency in English
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Passionate about child development and creating a supportive environment for young learners
- Ability to work flexibly during after-school hours in accordance with the programme schedule

Pay: From £12.80 per hour
