Manager starting from £40,000 - Practitioners from £13.80 per hour
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Manager to lead and inspire a vibrant early childhood education environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds, in a nurturing atmosphere, and ensure the highest standards of childcare. As a key member of our team, you will oversee daily nursery operations, support staff development, and create a safe, engaging space where children can thrive and explore. Your leadership will be instrumental in delivering exceptional care and educational experiences that promote early learning and development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of the nursery, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Supervise and support nursery staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective management and leadership.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and social skills.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene protocols are rigorously followed to create a secure environment for children and staff alike.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance reviews to build a motivated, professional team committed to excellence in childcare.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, planning activities, and ensuring compliance with early childhood education standards.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting, demonstrating strong leadership skills.
- Experience working with children across various age groups in early childhood education environments.
- Deep understanding of childcare practices, child development principles, and nursery regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively liaise with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to lead by example, motivate team members, and foster a collaborative work culture.
- Valid driving license is preferred for transporting children or attending off-site activities as needed.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification or higher).
