What does the average day look like?
In this role you will be managing and supporting a retail property portfolio, which includes London Liverpool Street, Kings Cross and Leeds Station. You will be overseeing and managing rent reviews, lease renewals and tenant relationships to maximise income for Network Rail whilst enhancing the passenger experience, as well as minimising risk to the operational railway. The role includes negotiating terms, carrying out valuations, liaising with solicitors and stakeholders, responding to tenant queries, monitoring property compliance and conducting inspections.
It also involves identifying revenue opportunities, ensuring legal and governance requirements are met, and working closely with internal teams, contractors and local authorities to effectively manage the portfolio and protect Network Rail's interests.
A little bit about the team...
Network Rail Property is the commercial division of the organisation accountable for the management of Network Rail land and property assets. This role sits within the Retail function - where you'll be part of a team of approximately 50 colleagues.
Collaboration is a key part of the role, with regular engagement across the wider Retail function as well as operational teams and other stakeholders, to ensure the portfolio is managed effectively and commercial objectives are achieved.

Who are we looking for?
We're looking for a proactive and motivated property professional with experience in retail asset management and strong negotiation skills. You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a property-related discipline and be working towards MRICS qualification, with MRICS status being advantageous.
The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator with excellent written and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships with a range of stakeholders. You'll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your workload, while also contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
Essential Criteria
¿ Educated to degree level or equivalent in a property related field
¿ A qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)or training towards your formal qualification
¿ Experience in retail asset management
¿ Proven negotiation skills
¿ Positive and proactive team player
