Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through engaging activities and personalised care. Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
- Supervise and support children during play, learning sessions, and mealtimes
- Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff team through effective communication
- Monitor and record children's progress, providing feedback to parents and team members
- Assist in organising daily routines and special events within the nursery or childcare setting
- Support colleagues with leadership tasks as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance childcare practices and early childhood education knowledge
Skills
- Proven experience with children, ideally within nursery or early childhood education settings
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood development principles (pre-birth to 3- Being Me and Curriculum of Excellence
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that cater to diverse learning needs
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about fostering young children's growth and learning
