Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Support Worker to join our team, providing essential care and assistance to individuals with a learning disability and/or autism in a supported living setting. In this role, you will deliver personalised support that promotes independence, dignity, and well-being for our service users. Responsibilities
- Assist service users with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and safety
- Support with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Engage in behaviour management techniques to support clients
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance mental well-being
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support service users to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
Qualifications
- Prior experience and qualification in supported living, residential care home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage efrfectively behaviours that could potential challenge
- Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
